Sharon Williams
Founder and CEO
Taurus Marketing
Sharon is a pioneer in the Australian marketing agency industry. One of comparatively few female entrepreneurs in this male-dominated field, she established Taurus Marketing in 1995 after a successful career in marketing and management, working in England, Europe and Asia.
Her professional experience includes management training with renowned UK retailer Marks and Spencer, and marketing management in the IT, shipping and travel industries.
Under Sharon’s guidance, Taurus has grown consistently year-on-year since inception, and is now one of Australia’s fastest growing, privately owned integrated marketing, creative and public relations agencies. Based in Artarmon, on Sydney’s upper north shore, Taurus offers unparalleled levels of personalised service to leading corporates such as Datacom and QBE Insurance.
Sharon was instrumental in helping the KAZ Group go from media obscurity to one of Australia’s highest-profile and largest information communications technology companies. In 2004 KAZ group was bought by Telstra.
Sharon’s vision for Taurus is to provide practical and smart marketing expertise to organisations. Her energetic, no-nonsense approach and high standards emphasise reaching personal and professional goals and achieving a work/life balance. She is especially proud of her company’s culture, in which a fun-loving atmosphere and flexible working arrangements play key roles, as well as its highly sought-after graduate intake program.
